The Super Eagles of Nigeria landed Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday 2:30 a.m against todays AFCON match.

Players in the team arrived from their different clubs this week to participate in the game seen as one of the tough contest in Africa.

The two teams which have been placed in the same Group (E) with Lybia and Seychelles have played 4 matches and are both leading the Group with The Bafana Bafana boys winning two and drawing two, standing second place on the Group’s Table with Eight Points, and Super Eagles having won three and lost one, stands atop of the Group with Nine Points.

Their first meeting for the tournament was on June 10, 2017 in Nigeria ended in the favour of South Africa as they won with two goals to nothing.

Super Eagles after losing to South Africa in their first 2019 AFCON tournament game have refused to lose again, winning the next three matches; went to Seychelles and won three to nothing, hosted Libya, won Four goals to nothing and claimed victory against host-Libya again, winning three to two goals (2-3).

Bafana Bafana also have took turns in winning their games and refused losing any, but have drawn two, one with Libya in september 8 which ended 0-0 and the last being played in Seychelles, ending 0-0 too.

Today, South Africa hosts Nigeria for a second leg game by 2:00 pm GMT+1.
