Report reaching Brainnewsradio has it that the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari after the news of Super Eagles qualification to the 2019 African Cup Of Nations(AFCON), Congratulated the team for their for their progress.
He equally commends the coaching crew, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Supporters Club, especially Nigerians residing in South Africa who turned out in great numbers to cheer the players, for a job
well-done, and assures them of the unflinching support of the Federal Government going forward – Femi Adesina reports.
Nigeria which stood atop of the Group E table with nine points played their fifth match of the Group against South Africa on Saturday 17 with a 1-1 draw result, continuing as the Group’s leader with additional one point to put them at the brink.
The Super Eagles still have one match to play against the Bottom sitters of the Group, Seychelles, which has recorded no win in the last Five Group matches. Nigerians see it as a walkover match, ’cause the needed is already done.
Nigerians are happy for the progress as well as the President, as he wished The young Nigerian football ambassadors more successes as they prepare for the AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
