Geoffery Onyeama: Saudi Arabia Evacuates 292 Stranded Nigerians, Including Nursing Mothers, Children To Abuja
Geoffrey Onyeama has revealed that 292 Nigerians who were stranded in Saudi Arabia are back into the country.
Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, has disclosed that 292 Nigerians stranded in Saudi Arabia are back into the country.
Onyeama, who tweeted about this, stated that they were now in Abuja Hotels to observe the 14 day quarantine.
Furthermore, he stated that they were conveyed by the Saudi Arabian Government.
He added that a large number of them were nursing mothers and children.
He tweeted: “We received 292 evacuees stranded in Saudi Arabia yesterday; the Saudi Government transported them to Abuja.
“A large number are nursing mothers and children and they are all comfortably settled in hotels under the mandatory 14 days quarantine.”
Recall that the federal government had said that there were plans to evacuate about 4,000 Nigerians who had shown interest to return to their homeland.
