Drug Trafficking: FG Secures Release Of Zainab Aliyu, Nigerian Lady Wrongly Detained In Saudi Arabia
Nigerian Federal Government has successfully secured the release of Zainab Aliyu, the Nigerian lady who was detained in Saudi Arabia after Tramadol was found in her luggage.
Investigations by the NDLEA later showed that a cartel had planted the banned substance in Zainab’s luggage.
Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, announced that Zainab’s release has been secured.
On his verified Twitter handle, Bashir wrote:
“The Federal Government has secured the release of Zainab Habibu Aliyu who was arrested in Saudi Arabia for alleged drug trafficking. Details soon from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. #FreeZainab”
