WhatsApp Add New Feature That Will Enable Users Send And Receive Money On The Messaging App
The most popular/used messaging app in the world, WhatsApp has unveiled a new feature that will enable its users send and receive money on the messaging app securely.
WhatsApp has made life easier for its users in Brazil as they would now be able to send and receive money securely on the messaging platform.
WhatsApp disclosed this in a tweet on Monday.
According to WhatsApp, users can send money to friends, family, and businesses adding that the payment is secure and a six-digit PIN or fingerprint would be required before transactions could be completed.
At the moment, WhatsApp payment is supported by Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards from Banco de Brasil, Nubank, and Sicredi.
WhatsApp also says it is working with Cielo, Brazilβs leading payments processor, and has built an open model to make it easy for more partners to join in the future.
However, this new feature powered by Facebook Pay only allows money transactions to loved ones and folks with WhatsApp business accounts.
