Senate Begins Screening Of Ministerial Nominees On Wednesday

Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate, has revealed that the screening of ministerial nominees will begin on Wednesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari had forwarded the list containing the names of those expected to form the next cabinet of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Mr Buhari nominated 43 persons for screening and confirmation into various ministries of the Federal Government.

“The screening of the ministerial nominees will commence tomorrow morning,” Mr Lawan said after reading out the names of those nominated at the floor of the Senate.

The top lawmaker also ordered other legislative activities in the chamber to take the back seat.
