EKET – In recent weeks there has been series of kidnapping in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
A mechanic was abducted at his workshop in Goldie Street along the cemetery axis, same day a business man at Ikot Ansa and a building engineer also was abducted by armed men.
On the late hours of Monday, July 9, 2018 at about 8:38pm another kidnapping incident repeated itself in Calabar South.
The proprietor of Christian High School, Mr Uwem Edet had been kidnapped by some unknown gunmen.
According to an eye-witness who spoke to Brainnews on phone on Monday night revealed that the widower (the victim) was kidnapped by seriously minded faces men but heavily armed at Palm Street, Calabar South at about 8:38pm and drove away to an unknown destination.
The proprietor doubles as the head of its Primary And Secondary schools located at 28, Atakpa Street, Atakpa, Calabar South, Cross River, Nigeria. Christian High School is a private school and one of the largest teaching institute in the state.
Brainnews has been made to know that the kidnapped victim had some weeks ago buried his late wife, but as nature has it more is now double with his previous pains.
As at the time of this report the abductors are yet to contact the family for any ransom.
