Nigeria’s Deaths Exceed 500 As NCDC Confirms 661 COVID-19 New Cases

NCDC has confirmed that Nigeria recorded 661 new coronavirus cases across the nation on June 20.

Nigeria's Deaths Exceed 500 As NCDC Confirms 661 COVID-19 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 661 new cases in the country.

The centre announced the figures during its daily updates on Saturday night.

According to the data, the total number of cases in Nigeria now stands at 19,808 as 19 more people died of complications related to the virus

However the number of recoveries increased to 6,718 while the country fatality moved to 506.

Of the new cases, Lagos has the highest with 230 infections, followed by Rivers and Delta States which reported 127 and 83 more cases respectively.

Others are FCT – 60, Oyo – 51, Edo – 31, Bayelsa – 27, Kaduna – 25, Plateau – 13, Ondo – six, Nasarawa – three, Ekiti and Kano – two, and Borno – one.
