NCDC Confirms 675 COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria, Total Now 20,919

NCDC has revealed that Nigeria has recorded 675 coronavirus new cases, as this has brought the country to a total infections rate of 20,919.

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 675 new cases in the country bringing the number of infections to 20,919.

Giving the updates on Twitter NCDC said the number of recoveries increased to 7,109 with 525 deaths so far.

A breakdown of the new cases show that Lagos had the highest records with 288 new cases , Oyo accounted for 76,Rivers 56 and Delta 31.

Though the centre is yet to announce any case in cross river state, the Director General, Chikwe Ihekweazu, on Monday during the Presidential Task Force briefing said no state in the country is free of the virus.

“No state, no single state in Nigeria is COVID-19-free, not one. No country in the world is COVID-19-free. Even New Zealand, that is an island state is still having new cases after a period of not having any.
