Unknown Gunmen Kidnapped Popular Mechanic In Calabar

The Cross River capital, Calabar is currently experiencing intense insecurity all thanks to cult clashes among youths, armed robbery, communal clashes and series of kidnapping Brainnews report.


The story continues as another person has been kidnapped.

Mr Nnana Kanu, a 40-year-old mechanic who specializes on wheel balancing (alignment) at Goldie Street behind Fynefield Filling Station formerly NNPC has been kidnapped at his workshop at the late hours of Monday, June 11, 2018 at about 8pm.

The incident according to an eye-witness who spoke to Brainnews said “It was on Monday at about 8pm when he (the victim) had closed for the days’ work when some armed men entered his workshop through the fence, abduct and drove him off in his own car.”

Brainnews has also learn that the following day (Tuesday) his car was discovered at the Big Qua River, Calabar and it is currently kept at an disclosed police station.

A closed source from the family has it that till date the abductors is yet to reach out to the victim’s family for any ransom.

The matter has been reported to the police for further investigation.
