Kwara: Four Turkish Nationals Kidnapped

According to report, gunmen has kidnapped four Turkish nationals in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, police said on Sunday.

Kwara police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the foreigners, said to be construction workers, were kidnapped at a bar in Gbale village late Saturday, Igbere TV reports.

He named the victims as Seyit Keklik, 25; Yasin Colak, 33; Ergun Yurdakul, 35; and Senerapal, 40.

Mr Okasanmi said the police commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun, had dispatched teams under Operation Puff Adder in the area to rescue the expatriates.

The spokesman said the CP had also directed that the suspected kidnappers be arrested.

He assured that rescue efforts were already yielding positive results.
