Inauguration Of Ninth Assembly: NASS Retains 2015 Standing Rule For Senate


The Ninth Assembly inauguration has commenced, as senators-elect argue on process to adopt in voting, Brainnews report.

Some were seen pushing for secret ballot, while others wanted open ballot.

“I did not receive any court order directing the use of 2011 Standing Order for the election of presiding officers of the Senate,” N/Assembly Clerk, Mohammed Sani Omolori said.

NASS has now retained 2015 Standing Rule for Senate.
