Ibrahim Idris Leaves Office As IGP, Adamu Mohammed Takes Over In Acting Capacity (Photos)
The presidency has confirmed that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris will be leaving office on Tuesday, January 15th while AIG Mohammed Adamu, will take over in acting capacity.
President Buhari’s personal assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this in a tweet this afternoon.
He shared photos of both men in the presidential villa where they are currently holding a meeting with President Buhari.
Idris attained the mandatory 60 years for retirement today and will not be getting an extension of tenure as many people speculated.
