Hushpuppi, Others ‘Arrested’ Over $35 Million COVID-19 Scam
Hushpuppi, among other Nigerian internet celebrities has been arrested by INTERPOL and FBI over $35 million COVID-19 funds.

Nigerian internet celebrity, Hushpuppi, Woodberry and others, have been reportedly arrested by the International Police (Interpol) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), over $35 million COVID- 19 fund.
According to social media reports, the suspects allegedly diverted the $35 million fund which was for the supply of ventilators to a state in the United States of American.
The report claimed that Hushpuppi was arrested in his Dubai home on Tuesday at about 2p.m.
Unconfirmed reports also said that the FBI was also on the trail of other members of the group connected with the scam.
Recall that last year, another Nigerian internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, was similarly arrested by the FBI over allegation of fraud amounting to $5 million.
On March 9, this year, 13 Nigerians and 11 others were also charged with $30 million fraud by the U.S. Department of Justice.
