Hoodlums Attack INEC Buses In Akwa Ibom, Set Them Ablaze (Photos, Video)

By Eyo Nse,

In the late hours of Friday, February 15th unknown hoodlums numbering about 20 attacked INEC Buses in Obot Akara, Akwa Ibom State, Brainnews report.

According to eyewitness, the buses which numbered 11 were attacked immediately it landed the area, the burnt buses had elections materials in it..

A female NYSC corper, Jane who spoke to Brainnews said; This is Obot AKARA LGA Of Aks State. All the cars provided to us are were burnt down. Last night was like second world war. I almost freeze of fear but I remembered I am not permitted to die like that. INEC Office was all ambushed. Just this morning (Saturday, February 16) they blocked us again chancing a name of a particular party I can’t mention for security reasons. May God help us. May the souls that depart rest in peace. Thank God the election has been postponed……. who knows what would’ve happened today.

But, unfortunately, the general elections billed for Saturday, February 16 has been shifted to February 23.
