A new year accident has killed five Men, two Women, a driver in Calabar, Cross River State, Brainnews report.
The auto-crash occurred along Ndidem Isang Iso Road off Marian Road, Calabar Municipality local government area of Cross River State at about 2.00AM on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019.
According to eyewitness who spoke to Brainnews correspondent revealed that the accident occurred when a speeding Toyota Camry car rammed into a taxi that was trying to make a U-Turn at the Apples/9Mobile Office by Pacific Computer School axis of the road. One person sustained injuries in the accident.
The taxi had seven occupants, five male and two female, including the driver, who died on the spot.
The driver of the Camry vehicle, a young man, who had a female passenger in his vehicle, also died it was gathered.
The only survivor happened to be a young woman.
The Cross River police command while confirming the incident, revealed that the bodies had been taken to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) mortuary.
