2019 general elections will be held in Nigeria on February 16th, 2019 to elect the President, Vice President and the National Assembly. They will be the sixth quadrennial elections since the end of military rule in 1999. Presidential primaries are likely to be held during the last six months of 2018.
Wikipedia reveals that the President of Nigeria is elected using a simple majority of votes cast, as well as over 25% of the votes in 27 of the 36 states.
The 360 members of the House of Representatives are elected to 4-year terms, concurrent with the president, using first-past-the-post voting in single-member constituencies,
The 109 members of the Senate are elected to 4-year terms, concurrent with the president, from 108 single-seat constituencies into which the States are divided (three each) and one single-seat constituency consisting the Federal Capital Territory, all by first-past-the-post voting.

Incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari was selected as the All Progressives Congress candidate in the party primaries held on 29 September 2018.

3. Donald Duke, a former governor of Cross River State, is the presidential candidate of the SDP.
4. Fela Durotoye, motivational speaker and presidential candidate of Alliance for New Nigeria.
5. Oby Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education and leader of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign. She ended her campaign on January 24, 2019 to combine support with other candidates to support a bid against APC and PDP
6. Tope Fasua, founder and National Chairman of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party.
7. Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano State.
8. Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State.
9. Ahmed Makarfi, former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party National Caretaker Committee.
10. Obadiah Mailafia, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and candidate of the African Democratic Congress.
11. Kingsley Moghalu, former Deputy Governor of the CBN and Professor of Practice at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
12. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, oil business mogul and presidential candidate for the Peoples Trust.
13. Remi Sonaiya, member of the KOWA Party and former university lecturer.
