Akwa United were seen hosting El Kanemi Warriors on their first game of the season.

While the game was poised to end in a 0-0 stalemate, the goalkeeper of the home team, Ojo Olorunleke, pulled off a very disappointing display which saw the away team get all three points on the 94th minute.

In other news, Ojo Olorunleke, has promised that his team will bounce back following their opening day defeat.

Olorunleke in an exclusive interview with Brila, said the defeat was a bitter pill for the team to swallow.

“Yeah, it’s unfortunate we lost the match because it wasn’t what we came out for. But as it had happened now we can’t reverse it”

He added that Coach Rafael Everton and the entire team was disappointed to start the season with a defeat, but they will correct the mistakes in the next game.

“Of course, not only but we the players as well. But like I said it has happened and all we need now is to remain focus, work and correct our mistakes as a team and individual to face other games”.
