Akwa Ibom State University students numbering four have been suspended indefinitely for allegedly raping a female student.
A statement released by the Head, Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Protocol of the institution, Akaninyene Ibanga, states that the rape incident took place at the Obio Akpa Campus of the institution in Oruk Anam LGA.
Below are names of the suspended students;

The students were suspended by the university authorities as a normal procedure to allow the police investigate and establish their level of involvement in the crime, Ibanga revealed.
