2019: Obong Of Calabar, Other Traditional Rulers Endorse Ayade For Second Term
Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade received boost from some traditional rulers in the state as they endorsed his candidature for his re-election for a second term come 2019.
The traditional rulers made this declaration when Governor Ayade presented a certificate of recognition and staff of office to the paramount rulers of Bekwarra and Obanliku Local Government Areas.
The Chairman of Traditional Rulers and the Paramount Ruler of Bakassi Local Government Area, Chief Etim Okon Edet, said the traditional rulers decided to endorse him because of achievements.
Chief Edet explained that the industrialization drive of the government and infrastructure are some of the factors that made traditional rulers to endorse him.
He added that the prompt payment of salaries to workers has enhanced their standard of living in the state.
Those who spoke at the occasion include the Obong of Calabar from the South, the Obol Lopon of Ugep from central and the Paramount Ruler of Obudu Local Government Area representing the North.
